Position: Desktop Support Specialist II

Location: Byhalia, MS

Hours:  The shift will be Monday – Friday, 3pm - 12am

 

Position Description:

  In this role it is critical to work together with regional and global colleagues to deliver new and upgraded infrastructure for business solutions and the end-user IT environment. This includes, but is not limited to, hosting platforms (typically x86), Windows OS, LAN (wired and wireless), Windows enterprise client solutions for office and factory, personal mobility, and specialized factory devices such as bar code scanners, forklift mounted hardware, and specialized printing technology.

 

Responsibilities:

Duties typically include all types of end user support for client (MyPlace and FactoryPlace), network (mostly WiFi), wide variety of office and industrial printers such as Intermac and Kyocera, and specialized end user terminals such as scan guns such as Honeywell and fork-lift mounted display terminals. Some travel to other warehouses may be requested on an infrequent basis. There will be some light networking connectivity troubleshooting.

 

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of PC troubleshooting experience
  • 3-5 years of troubleshooting peripheral devices - printers, hand held scanners, mobile phones, etc.
  • Nice to have previous experience troubleshooting Dell machines and to have used Remedy Ticketing system.
  • Strong customer service skills
