Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • High level of expertise in troubleshooting intel based PCs connected to a Local and Wide Area Network. Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and other windows based applications. Knowledge of how PCs communicate across LAN or WAN
  • This position assists staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications and related technology. Support includes specification, installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines.
  • The position’s responsibilities require independent analysis, communication and problem solving. Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment.
  • Provide break/fix services for computers, printers, and associated devices.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of PC problems related to hardware, software or network anomalies.
  • Works with technical staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems affecting clients.
  • Ensures desktop computer interconnects seamlessly with diverse systems including associated storage systems, email servers, computer conferencing system, application servers and administrative systems.
  • Verifies inventory of equipment.
  • Instructs user on how to perform basic functions on PC
  • Perform general troubleshooting of PC systems in a distributed enterprise environment.
