Desktop Technician
A University Medical/Healthcare Division is in need of a Desktop Technician to assist their Customer Support team. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience and technical proficiency with both Windows (50%) and Mac (50%). The role requires excellent communication and this individual needs to be able to calm frustrated users in a research/scientific environment. The Customer Support team is a collaborative environment where accountability and responsiveness is key.
Location: New York, NY
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work heavily in the system and answer tickets that come through
  • Work on ticket request sent daily or pass to appropriate department
  • Work in both IOS and MAC environment; fully understand how to use both systems
  • Customer support

Education:
  • 5-8 years’ experience in a Technical Support role
  • Ticketing Systems (HEAT, ServiceNow, Remedy, Zendesk)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Mobile device knowledge
  • Apple certification is a plus
  • Comfortable in medical and scientific environment
  • No science or health background needed
