As a member of the Digital Analytics Instrumentation team, you would be responsible for working in a cross-functional capacity to provide business and functional requirements, technical direction, domain expertise, and feasibility analysis for our site and mobile. You participate in all phases of new projects to aid in scoping, prioritization, and requirements definition to advocate analytics capture. This position is the liaison between Engineering and Analytics teams and ensures decision makers get the data they need.  This role is detail-intensive, requiring the accurate capture and translation of data requirements (both tactical and analytical needs) and validation/verification of the working solution, ensuring quality and availability of data.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal  customers to analyze information needed and functional requirements desired to deliver actionable recommendations and insights driven by data
  • Document business requirements and ensure appropriate governance for multiple analytics tools across all platforms, including mobile
  • Provide technical expertise on analytics systems to drive towards consistency in delivery and optimized solutions
  • Work independently and with product owners to create and evaluate new feature ideas and business opportunities through business analysis and data analysis
  • Act as liaison between the business units, engineering and reporting teams to ensure the right data is captured
  • Understand business strategy and objectives and leverage available data to drive new high-value business insights
  • The candidate must possess experience partnering with development teams to ensure that all measurement and tracking are implemented correctly; provide development teams with required project specifications, tracking requirements, and test plans
  • Interface with analytics vendors as needed
  • Execute thorough User Acceptance Testing of analytics implementation and experimentation setup
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Manage and track all open issues, feature prioritization, and ensure issues/enhancements are driven in a timely manner

Skills Summary:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • 3+ years of business analysis experience
  • 3+ years working experience with databases, SQL (MySQL, Hive QL, T-SQL) scripting for data validation
  • Experience with applying measurement and tracking solutions in Adobe Analytics is required
  • Experience with debugging proxy tools is required (Charles, Tealium, ObservePoint)
  • Experience with tag management platform is a plus (Tealium IQ, Adobe DTM); additional experience with analytics tools such as Localytics, LeanPlum, or Google Analytics, is a plus; additionally, experience with session replay tools like Clicktale, Tealeaf is considered a plus
  • Experience with marketing methodology, measurement, and tactics is desired
  • Proven ability to write effective system and process documentation (including data mappings and business and system requirements)
  • Strong skills in successfully relaying business requirements into technical terms for colleagues in product and engineering
  • Experience with negotiating priorities, scope, and resource requirements in the delivery of large complex development projects in rapidly evolving business environment
  • Experience working with third party technology vendors, agencies, and contractors
