Interim Management Role – Director Reporting & Analytics, Network Planning & Procurement
Reporting to VP Technology, Coverage Strategy & Technology Decision Analytics



  • Dashboard-based reporting and analytics to support business processes and decisions
  • Three key internal customers (business units) within Technology Planning, Procurement & Development function:
    • Technology Procurement: External workforce management, Procurement engagement management, Procurement spend and savings tracking
    • Materials & Warehousing: BoM shipments tracking, E2E maintenance management, New & existing materials tracking
    • Power & Transport (Network base stations): AAV/fiber/backhaul billing and contracts management, AAV/microwave management, power management
  • Focus on bringing dashboard analytics and reporting to next level on two dimensions:
    • Elevate communication and visualization of existing dashboards with existing data source scope to the next level for optimized clarity on business issues and opportunities, enabling up and down communication and linkage to respective business actions
    • Build up new dashboards, reporting/analysis lenses (incl. acquisition of new internal data sources) to address new business process and/or challenges/opportunities
  • Acting leader of a team of 10 highly skilled individual contributors (Managers and Analysts)
  • Build relationship and interact on Director/Sr. Director level as well as shop floor of internal customer units and integrated feedback and guidance into Dashboarding work


Scope of Work

  • Initial time frame of 3-6 month
  • Take up of exiting workstream with strong first results and defined milestone plan – further refinement within first weeks of engagement (quick wins identification and concretization of milestone plan)


Required Experience and Competences

  • Strong Strategic and Analytics track record on working level as well as thought leadership level
  • Proven ability to turn data into insights and ability to communicate on shop floor as well as executive level
  • Strong people leader with experience in managing diverse teams with and without disciplinary responsibility, ideally on Director level or above
  • Academic background ideally in Analytics, Business and Data Science
  • Functional background ideally in Technology, preferred Telco or any kind of Network-centric businesses as well as some sort of Management Consulting


Project Information:

This individual will be mostly be working on Procurement related reports and dashboards. The technical stack has Tableau and Alteryx.

50 % of the work will involve guiding the business

50 % of the work will involve doing Actual creation of dashboards with tools like Alteryx and Tableau

Previous Lead Level experience as a Techno-functional Consultant (At director level)

Previous business experience/knowledge (telco -- procurement)
