Our client is looking for an High Voltage (EV/HEV) Electrical Engineer for a 1 yr. contract in downtown Milwaukee, WI. If you are interested please submit your updated resume.

Requirements: BSEE from accredited four-year college or university. Good computer skills (Microsoft Office Suites). Experience with high voltage EV/HEV systems is desired. Solid communication and organizational skills. Circuit simulation experience desired.

Typical Duties: 1. Specify and design electrical components and sub-assemblies Specify or design and develop components including wires, connectors, switches, fans, motor controllers, harnesses, terminals, fuses, insulating materials, shielding, sensors, and other electrical hardware. 2. Establish electrical architecture Design switching means, timing diagrams, conductor sizing, circuit protection and coordination. 3. Generate schematics and wiring diagrams for manufacturing and customer usage. 4. Simulate the electrical and electromagnetic performance of the system to predict performance and establish operating ranges and key design parameters. Optimize the system design to balance cost, performance, mass, volume, and energy efficiency. Develop and share models as required by the customer. 5. Design for vehicle level electrical and electromagnetic performance per customer requirements. 6. Develop relationships with suppliers to help generate component specifications and to perform make vs. buy analysis.
