Title: Electro Mechanical Assembler

Length: 1+ year contract

Location: Edison, NJ

Apex Systems is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Control Panel Assembler for a large manufacturing company located in Edison, NJ. The Control Panel Assembler performs sub-panel and enclosure layout and mounting of all system hardware components in accordance with mechanical drawings. In addition will assist with Material Handling when needed. This includes; wiring, layout, precision to detail, receiving of components and material and inventory control. Summary

  • Provides assembly and electrical wiring support for systems sold by ES, working from mechanical assembly and wiring drawings, in accordance with companies’ requirements.
  • Inventory control: Shipping/Receiving, material and handling when needed
  • Work closely in a team of 15 people to effectively receiving materials, inventory control and assembly of custom-built Control Systems.

Must have (Required):

  • Ability to do material handling (shipping/receiving of material)
  • Can build off schematics
  • Building of Panel Boards
  • Precise with tools and wiring
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work on your feet for 9 hours a day.

Highly Desired Skills:

  • Industrial Control Panel Assembly Experience
  • Building with Wires
  • Work well with a team

 Responsibilities:

  • Performs sub-panel and enclosure layout and mounting of all system hardware components in accordance with mechanical drawings.
  • Performs necessary sheet metal work, utilizing tools to meet the specifications.
  • Fabricate small brackets and protective covers
  • Performs all system wiring as per electrical engineering drawings: schematics, wiring diagrams, and/or wire lists.
  • Installs assembled sub-panels into enclosures both manually and with tools.
  • Controls project materials from time of issuance to completion of the project.
  • Operates nameplate, wire cutting, and wire making machines.
  • Assists with test set ups and electrical interconnection of system deliverables for test purposes.
