Financial Systems Solution Architecture Consultant

Financial Systems Solution Architecture Consultant will help guide a project team of internal team members and external consultants to consolidate and implement a single enterprise financial system. The Financial Systems Architecture Consultant will take ownership of our advising and collaborating with project team members to adjust business processes, IT systems integration methodology, and lead best value solution development as necessary. This role will be empowered to innovate, define the standards, automation, and processes that will enable the organization to drive value and timeliness of implementation for the future state of financial systems. To accomplish our goals the successful candidate will influence IT Management, application architecture, Network architects and Security architects and act as a liaison for our application development, architecture, and business teams on the principles and best practices in the financial systems adoption. The Financial Systems Solution Architecture Consultant role will focus on defining the relationships, flows and implementation of business (processes/activities/functions, information), applications, data and technology for our Corporate Applications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain enterprise architecture standards for the implemented solution
  • Support the development and implementation of the roadmap of integration and adoption
  • Translate business priorities into IT architecture requirements
  • Apply software, data and infrastructure knowledge expertise to drive consolidation and right solution fit. Understand as-is architectures and processes and the implications of the target architecture and processes.
  • Define, document and maintain to-be domain architectures applying architecture guiding principles Augment architecture guiding principles
  • Collaborate with domain architects to develop architecture roadmaps Identify architecture, process, and system gaps and inefficiencies and provide recommendations for improvements and alignment
  • Assist in identification and development of new architecture and process assets, standards and frameworks
  • Research industry-wide architecture and technology trends for the respective domain and present relevant point-of-views
  • Provide guidance and help define direction of project activities

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems or related discipline, or equivalent and extensive related project experience; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience as an architect, senior IT leader, or technical financial systems implementor.
  • 5+ years of business or IT experience with a direct responsibility for strategy
  • Required experience implementing ERP Financial systems for large organizations
  • Experience and demonstrated deep knowledge of Supplier Management, Procurement, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Order to Cash, Record to Report, Treasury, and Supply Chain practices.
  • Experience with legacy systems and complex technical environments using multiple technologies and languages.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate at a technical, business, or executive level.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate into architectural deliverables.
  • Knowledge of data, infrastructure and programming concepts.
  • Experience in multi-platform infrastructure distributed environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work closely with project teams to deliver project artifacts.
  • Ability to influence others and work in a team environment.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and decision making skills.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of legacy and emerging technologies to help innovate needed capabilities based on business needs
