Apex Systems is looking for a QA Tester to help support a large healthcare client in Norfolk, VA. Candidates must have hands on experience with Facets. Ideal candidates will also have experience with SQL and billing modules. This is a long term contract.

  • Leads and coordinates testing for waterfall or agile initiatives.
  • Identifies, creates, and executes the appropriate Test Assets (plans, cases, scripts, metrics).
  • Assists with the creation of the testing strategy plan and automated test scripts.
  • Defines appropriate testing methods to employ to assure developed application conforms to requirements and design.
  • Leads Peer Reviews to ensure the completeness of all Test Assets created.
  • Ensures all applicable SDLC and testing processes are followed.
  • Executes linkage from test plan to test scenarios and test cases.
  • Identify and execute either manual or automated test cases, with test automation being the focus.
  • Identifies, reports, and reviews defects in assessing application quality.
  • Leads defect triage for smaller or medium initiatives.
  • Collects testing metrics, reports status as defined in test plan with supporting data.
  • Provides consultation/mentoring to staff members and application support groups regarding quality and testing, especially for test automation processes
  • Identifies and collects test data for test execution.
  • Develop software testing within an agile process.
  • Extensive knowledge in SQL 
  • At least 2 years minimum working hands on and testing Facets
  • Scrum Master Cert (nice to have)
