Description: BASIC FUNCTION OF JOB
The Financial Services Rep I is responsible for the effective resolution of client AR within an assigned portfolio of accounts. Incumbents will serve as the primary point of contact between client and Insight finance department. This position will report to the Mgr Financial Services.
WORK PERFORMED

* Manage an assigned portfolio of client AR.
* Mail/fax system generated form letters to clients to encourage payment of delinquent
accounts.
* Provide special billing for larger Enterprise clients.
* Contact delinquent accounts by phone, fax or email.
* Confer with clients by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment,
reviewing terms of sales, service or credit contract.
* Keep detailed record/status of their ongoing collection efforts.
* Receive payment information from clients and record amounts promised to be paid into
clients account.
* Notify Sales Rep if they experience any difficulties in contacting the client or securing
payment on the past due amounts.
* Provide Accounts Receivable with check/wire/ACH application information.
* Update Collections Management with status reports on top delinquent accounts.
* After consultation with their manager, order service interruption/credit hold on future
orders.
* Sort and file correspondence.
* After consultation with their manager, processes Legal, Third Party Collections and
Bankruptcy paperwork and submit to their manager.
* Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Some college education preferred.
Six months previous collections experience required and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business/ professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations. Ability to write basic reports and business correspondence. Must possess the ability to effectively present information and communicate, both orally and in written form, with clients and fellow Insight teammates. Must possess basic knowledge of Collection laws and procedures.
Ability to develop rapport with client AP contacts and respective sales teams. Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a specified time frame. Must be able to effectively communicate with clients and fellow Insight teammates. Must meet SLAs (Service Level Agreements) with sales and clients. Must maintain their portfolio balances at or below predetermined departmental standards.
