Apex Systems has an immediate Front End Web Developer opportunity supporting a healthcare client in Columbia, MD.  The Front End Web Developer will support the client by designing and testing program logic, coding programs, program documentation and preparation of programs for computer operations.

 Responsibilities of Front End Web Developer:
  • Works with the appropriate department to assess their needs regarding a new application or modifications to existing applications
  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents and installs modified and new programs
  • Monitors existing programs for expected performance and responds to errors and emergency problems
  • Maintains integrity of program logic and coding, also establishes required checks and balances for operational controls
  • Produces procedural documentation as required
  • Assists in studying and analyzing data processing functions, methods and procedures and makes recommendations concerning the feasibility of revising existing programs or adapting new applications.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of computer operating procedures and operating standards
  • May aid in the development of Junior Application Developers.  No direct supervisory duties involved with this position.
  • Develops new programs and modifies existing computer programs for use within the client's operations.

Desired Skills of Front End Web Developer:
  • Strong HTML and CSS experience
  • Strong JavaScript: ES6 or Typescript experience
  • .Net MVC experience
  • JavaScript framework experience (Angular, React, Vue)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or Entity Framework
  • Basic knowledge of visual design
  • Basic knowledge of UI/UX
  • D3 or D3 based charting library experience
