Hardware Installation Technician 
This is a 5 + month opportunity supporting a well known company in the area. 1-2 years of IT Support experience helpful but not mandatory. The candidate will also need to be comfortable with travel that can be extensive and have a reliable vehicle. 
Contract: January 2020 -- June 2020
Location: Kansas City, KS
Pay: Hourly pay rate+ Mileage (0.43/mile)
Job Details:

  • Fly into Bloomington Illinois to participate in mandatory client training
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. For any and all questions the tech contacts the dedicated Helpdesk or Back Office. 

  • Scope of each project may include installing printers, scanners, workstations (laptops or desktops), routers, switches or electronic file storage devices
  • Brief scripted training with location personnel
  • Cleanup of materials and preparing legacy devices for pickup and shipping

  • IT training/experience
  • Excellent customer service/communication skills
  • Must be comfortable driving several hours each way from the radius of their home
  • Must have own, reliable transportation
  • Need to have charge card for potential of occasional overnight travel

  • Install days are typically Tuesday through Friday
  • Installer must be available on Monday's for reschedules and revisits
  • Installers assigned a route will be paid a minimum of 30 hours per week OTHER THAN learning curve, holiday, training and the final week of their route; floaters will get a minimum of 15 hours and the same rules apply
