Apex Systems is recruiting a Help Desk Support Engineer for one of our large financial clients here in the Pittsburgh area.  Responsibilities include:
  • Providing client support Responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical hardware and software issues
  • Troubleshooting of PC's, printers, telephones, software pushes/ installations , BYOD and software problems
  • Advising users on appropriate actions by researching solutions using available information resources, such as internal Knowlegebases, application tools and/or resources, etc.
  • Responsible for Identifying and escalating situations requiring urgent attention, and stay current with Department Policies, Procedures, and Adherence to the Company Policies Incident Management process.

  • Associates (2 year) degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous technical desktop support experience, experience with MS Office Suite products must be able to effectively troubleshoot, work with customers and have strong organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Flexibility in working hours.
  • Ability to speak/write clearly and effectively
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience required

Additional Notes:
  • Contract to hire
  • 2-3 years minimum experience 
  • Associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required
  • Top 3 skills:
    •  Previous technical desktop troubleshooting support experience, experience with MS Office Suite products, and customer service experience.
    • Works with callers and other help desk specialists to resolve normal and unusual information system problems on a daily basis
    • Knowledge of PC hardware and software.
