Apex Systems is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join one of our clients in the Greater St. Louis area. Applicants can send resumes directly to jdaniel@apexsystems.com
 
Essential Functions:

• Manages the pre-boarding and on-boarding of new hires including management of pre-employment offer and associated paperwork, background check processing, drug testing administration and orientation of new employees to the company 

• Handles compliance process for authorization to work and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) requirements related to background screens and drug test requirements

• Oversees leaves of absence including tracking, communication with leaders and employees, serving as liaison between 3rd party vendor

• Oversees short-term disability approval and tracking with communication to payroll

• Creates communication plans and individual communications as well as SharePoint platforms, etc. for leader and employee communications from Human Resources and other general company communications

• Supports content creation and organization for company careers site, social media sites, 

• Creates ad-hoc and standard reporting including upon request and regularly scheduled reports (may include requisition status, contractor status, turnover tracking, exit interview analysis, EEO filing support, etc.) 

• Analyzes reports and data to determine themes and actions required for improvement

• Creates surveys, questionnaires, etc. to gain feedback from employees and leaders on HR processes so improvement can be garnered

• Serves as back up for payroll-related processes as needed

• Manages and supports various projects, HR and non-HR related

• Supports HR programs including leadership development, summer intern program, recognition and reward programs, mentoring program, etc.

• Supports and serve on global initiatives for HR programs and systems implementations

• Supports integration activities for new colleagues during acquisitions

• Technically savvy with proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software; experience with HR systems helpful.

• Strong process orientation with ability to process map and focus on continuous improvement.

• Strong customer focus with ability to balance stakeholder interests.
Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred; willing to consider commensurate experience.
