Location: Lincoln, RI 02865

Start Date: 04/08/2019

Contract: contract position – potential to go permanent or extend

Position Summary: This position processes unemployment claims filed by current and former employees. Details regarding the reason for separation are gathered, analyzed and then submitted to state unemployment agencies via the unemployment vendor’s claims management system.

Duties:

  • Research and analyze employment and wage data, determine issues involved, summarize the facts and submit them electronically to our TPA (Third Party Administrator) in the required format.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of state agency decisions and work with Manager to determine advisability of appealing adverse determinations.

Experience:

  • Strong decision making skills - someone who can analyze and interpret the requests.
  • Very detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills- sense of urgency – this person will be managing a high volume of claims and each claim has a response due date that must be met.
  • We need people able to prioritize and manage the volume efficiently.
  • Most communication is via email, so candidates need to be able to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • HR experience is a plus, but not mandatory if the candidate has held roles that demonstrate the capabilities noted above.

Education: Associate degree. Bachelor degree preferred.
