Apex Systems Inc. is immediately seeking an Installations Representative who will support one of our clients in Silver Spring, MD and offers a strong upside for growth.  This Installations Representative will join a collaborative technical team responsible for new enhancements and support of highly visible roll out.

Position: Installations Representative
Location: Silver Spring, MD
Timeline: Immediately

Provides 1st level support for escalated Installation problems to customers for a variety of product categories. Performs installations and assure the quality and success of each installation through established standards.

- Serve as 1st tier escalation to at least two major non-Micros and all Micros products.
- Answer incoming calls as necessary. Monitors department email accounts for incoming product questions and answers them according to prescribed standards.
- Track bugs, software and communication anomalies and report to the Install Manager and the Product group as necessary.
- Work in Backlog Cleanup Project as subscribed by the Install Manager.
- Provides full support for beta merchants testing new products and/or connectivity methods.
- Requires on-call work and remote access to support systems and tools.
- Offers exception handling of high-profile issues/customers. Resolves complex and/or time-consuming problems outside of the normal escalation process.
- Provides coaching and call monitoring for Installation III reps.
- Maintain and manage, Install group supported products.

- Associate’s degree in business (preferred) and/or a minimum of three years of related technical support/customer service experience.
- Minimum of 1 year credit card, point-of-sale or banking industry experience. Must have an expert knowledge in at least two products we support.
- A+ certification preferred
- Advanced working knowledge of computer software systems including DOS, Windows Unix 2000/XP/2007. Strong command of common office applications such as Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and Internet Explorer.
- Good understanding of connectivity concepts: Dial, TCP/IP, Frame Relay, VSAT Advanced knowledge of point-of-sale hardware and software platforms.
- Advanced knowledge and be proficient in at least two major non-Micros supported products.
- Advanced knowledge of technical fundamentals and utilization of logical thought processes used in troubleshooting.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a varying responsibilities and shifting priorities.

This position functions in a normal office environment.
