Job Summary

IT Billing Analyst opportunity

Initial 7 month contract to hire

Hours: Mon-Fri 8-5

Location: Chicago, IL

Responsibilities and Duties

  • The IT Billing Analyst is specifically responsible for all IT billing, accounting and verification of services for our global environment.
  • Oversee and review the approval process and payments of all IT services
  • Work with our IT Partners and internal IT personnel to verify IT charges; matching against budget, contracted rates, and coding with appropriate account numbers
  • Work with vendor partners and internal IT personnel to identify, reconcile and resolve billing errors
  • Initiate and drive improvements of processes; constantly look to invent and simplify
  • Assist with creation of annual IT operating budgets
  • Review IT contract proposals, and payment terms, as require
  • Develop and deliver training on new processes and continually educate stakeholders on best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

QUALIFICATIONS: Four years’ experience in accounts payable or billing, preferably with IT billing

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 - 3 years applicable experience working with, or in, an Information Technology organization is preferred COMPUTER SKILLS: Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel as well as proficiency in other Office applications. Exposure to ERP applications.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, problem solving ability and the capability to work with minimal direction. Demonstrated collaborative skills. Must thrive working in a continually evolving environment and embrace being a champion of change.
