Our client is currently seeking a Senior IT Manager to lead a Sales Compensation application development team. In this position you will have responsibility for a team of employees (Associate-Senior Application engineers) and contractors generally responsible for owning and maintaining the technical assets for career distribution compensation and Field administration capabilities.


We will task you with being responsible for the development and implementation of IT applications and applications systems, including analysis and programming activities, that enable the organization's business processes. You serve as the IT strategic and tactical liaison with the business for IT solution discovery, development and deployment. We need you to participates in IT strategy development and provides trusted guidance with business partners and within IT.
         
 
Job Description
         
 
Job Responsibilities and Duties
  • IT Asset owner of Sales Compensation applications, systems and related interfaces
  • Collaborates with Sales Compensation Product Owners to ensure asset maintenance work is prioritized appropriately.
  • Collaborate with Business System Analyst People Dev Leader on scrum team resourcing needs and challenges
  • Owns vendor relationship for commissions calculation engine solution (SaaS)
  • Incident Escalation: Develops, implements, and manages operational standards and escalation procedures to ensure service levels are maintained at a consistent level.
  • Accountable for technical roadmap as it relates to commissions and agent administration assets and supporting infrastructure
  • Supports direct reports as members of Scrum teams
  • Manages and crafts SOW for contractor resources with vendor providing consulting services.
  • Builds and maintains a high-performing team; selects, develops, coaches, rewards and recognizes team members
  • Addresses problems that are highly complex, requiring discernment and new solutions; solutions likely to result in new operational processes and/or policies; solutions likely to have long term strategic and/or organizational impact
  • Responsible for the development and execution of objectives, polices and plans for Sales Compensation domain
  • Makes operational and strategic decisions that may have significant impact, on functionality, quality or effectiveness of business unit activities
  • Participates in, supports and execute business initiatives, plans and policies which are somewhat complex in nature and have a significant impact on the business unit's profitability and strategic direction
  • Monitors budget, expenses and scope and facilitate project delivery and support
  • Initiates, designs and monitors continuous improvement activities for program/department/business
  • Sets performance targets and evaluates/enforces service delivery against targets
  • Establishes and supports an environment in which all personnel can develop and apply their talents to meet the technology goals
  • Drives communication and collaboration with peer managers, individual contributors, external vendors, contractors
  • Keeps Director and Sr Leadership informed as needed
  • Develops communication strategies and has significant persuasion skills; resolves conflicts, inspires action and manages divergent audience perspectives

 
 
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in related field
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Strong organizational and thought leadership skills
  • Strong people leadership skills, specific to leading technical resources

 
 
Preferred:
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated track record for running large and complex initiatives and demonstrated skill in delivering results
  • High learning agility and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Adaptive to change and resilient in ambiguous scenarios
  • Broad understanding of business operations within the company or another financial services organization
  • Experience working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, calmly, and patiently with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong Project Management discipline – primarily scope, cost and human resource management
  • Experience with software and/or staffing contracting required
  • Vendor negotiation skills
  • Experience with Commissions and/or Agent Administration systems
