Position: Systems Administrator

Summary - The System Administrator II (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.  This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
This role is also responsible for a broad range of tasks, including the implementation, configuration and day-to-day administration and support of our virtualized environment, including hardware and software supported with Microsoft and VMware technologies.
Responsibilities range from Evaluation, Configuration, Installs, Support, Exchange, O365, Network, Telecom and System upgrades. Analysis, deployment and support of Network, telephone infrastructure services and systems including voice services, call center applications and monitoring and maintenance of systems.  Evaluate and audit telecommunications network or hardware for integrity and capacity planning.

System Administrator II Major Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and support Office 365, Exchange Online, Azure AD, ADFS and In-Tune
  • Support and maintain Active Directory infrastructure including GPO, DNS and DHCP
  • Develop technical solutions and configure security tools to help identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and develop and carry out information security plans and policies.
  • Implementation, configuration and day-to-day administration and support of our virtualized environment, including hardware and software supported with Microsoft, VMware & Citrix technologies.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking problems, communicating solution plans with management (level II support as needed)
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management. 
  • Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information and design and maintain annual information security awareness training presentation containing information security standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Document maintenance processes, bugs encountered, workarounds, and other knowledge acquired and perform Domain Administrator functions such as user account creation/maintenance and email systems administration.
  • Design, install, configure, maintain and monitor VMware & Citrix environments.
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessment and contingency plans.
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures.
  • Maintain and support data center infrastructure including HCI, Cisco UCS, SAN, Citrix and VMware
  • Maintain and support endpoint equipment throughout the organization
  • Setup and maintain PCs for employees and help new users get oriented with company systems as required.
  • Promote a positive customer relationship while working with team members.

System Administrator II Position Qualifications:
  • Education/Learning Experience
    • Required:  A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Administration
    • Desired:  Master’s degree
  • Work Experience
    • Required: Experience with MS Operating systems, O365, MS SQL 2012/2008, MS IIS, and MS Exchange 2003/2007/2010/2012 in a large-scale Enterprise; experience with Windows Server 2003-2016 in a WAN environment with Midrange system interoperability; networking infrastructure support experience including Internet connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, and DHCP.
    • 5+ years in Systems Administration
    • 3 years’ + experience with Azure, and experience with Office365
    • Office 365 experience highly desired for this role
    • Citrix/VMware experience highly desired for this role
  • Skills/Knowledge
    • Required: Solid understanding of common IT technologies, including virtualization, cloud, networking, security, scripting and infrastructure.
    • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
    • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them.
    • Ability to create and execute scripts in PowerShell
    • Ability to troubleshoot, evaluate and diagnose problems and recommend and implement solutions.
    • Ability to create technical documentation, diagrams and knowledge transfer documents.
  • Licenses/Certifications
    • Required:  MCSE, MCSA 
    • Desired:  GSEC, CCNA, CCA/CCEA

  • Desired: High analytical (quantitative and qualitative) and project management skills to integrate complex functions and/or diverse organization components in support of overall operations.
