Apex Systems, America’s second largest technical staffing firm, has two 6 month contract-to-hire openings for Desktop Support Technicians with a warehouse client in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a fast-paced, cutting edge environment offering room for advancement, professional and technical growth and long term stability. We are looking to hire fast and expect these resources to start by mid-late October. 

Quick Overview:

Title: Desktop Support

Duration: Contract to Hire

Location: Memphis Tennessee 

Shift: 2nd or 3rd shift (must be willing to train for the first month on 1st shift)

These resources will be supporting around 300-400 total users. They will be communicating heavily with the IT groups at headquarters in High Point, NC. Should be able to work independently. Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade desktop and laptop hardware and peripheral equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance and minimal user impact. Work through resolution of desktop support trouble tickets in a call center environment. Technician will be required to resolve issues within specified SLA as well as use an RF gun.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 3+ years Desktop Support experience
  • 2+ years in a Windows 7 environment (experience with Windows 10 a plus)
  • 1+ year with RF Scanner/Bar Code troubleshooting (preferred)
  • 1+ year Zebra Label Printer troubleshooting & maintenance (preferred) 
  • Experience with any ticketing system
  • Ability to work independently
