We have an immediate need for a ServiceNow team member to join the ServiceNow Agile Scrum team. This position will use the ITIL framework to provide technical assistance, workflow development, and software configuration / customization.  The primary technical skillset used will be Javascript, but the position will also be involved in advancing our Automated Testing capabilities through the use of Java and Selenium.  Being part of a Product Line team, this position may also get engaged in providing administration and application maintenance support. 

Skills Required:

  • Strong experience with web based development languages; specifically Javascript, Ajax, HTML/CSS, Java
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle
  • Must be a self-starter and possess excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask, and effective time management
  • Strong customer service and excellent verbal/written communication
  • Desire to be a part of a highly collaborative team

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of ITIL and Service Management
  • ServiceNow administration experience a plus
  • Agile Scrum experience a plus

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and configure ServiceNow for project work
  • Develop Automated Tests through the use of Java and Selenium to improve and protect the overall quality of the product
  • Configure Automated Tests through the use of ServiceNow’s Automated Testing Framework
  • Document development work as needed for implementation (i.e. User stories, development and scripting documentation, status, etc.)
  • Communicate technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Advise on options, risks and impacts on business processes and technical solutions
  • Participate productively in a collaborative process as part of an agile scrum team
  • Build a strong understanding of ITIL & Service Management
  • Develop knowledge of mature Agile Scrum processes and contribute to Continuous Improvement of the practices

Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use. Use Java programming language and related software development technologies such as Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), JavaServer Pages (JSP)/Servlets, or JavaServer Faces (JSF). Serve as technical expert on development projects. Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Support, maintain, and document software functionality. Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation. Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed. Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Consult with end-user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.

Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or Associates Degree with 2 years IT Software Developer related experience or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years IT Software Developer experience. 

Experience: Typically entry level; less than 2 years IT Software Developer experience (in addition to any experience identified above). Technical knowledge usually acquired from an educational institution or through equivalent work experience.
