Position: Linux System Administrator 
Location: Chandler, AZ or Charlotte, NC
 
Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced technical service professional to join our support environment as we grow our business and help our customers’ businesses to grow. This person will perform a variety of duties on a day to day basis including production support and troubleshooting, application maintenance, monitoring and/or balancing and security administration issues.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical systems support within a technology organization. Duties are varied and may include one or more of the following:
    • Provides support for highly complex technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale applications, systems, databases and/or other technical products and services
    • Uses/creates diagnostic, simulation and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems
    • Evaluates service level agreement criteria, identifies gaps in current technology process and recommends changes to assure SLAs can be supported
    • Performs migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and/or configurations
    • May evaluate or review queries to extract data, create standard databases, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supported
    • Troubleshoots network, hardware and software issues and coordinates resolution with users, vendors and internal service groups
    • Writes/designs test scripts Creates change or issue logs
    • Analyzes performance trends and recommends process improvements
    • Assesses changes for risk to production systems and assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas
    • Updates, creates and tests the business continuation plan
    • Research P2K tickets and Insure  that none of assigned tickets is violating SLA and also quality of research is bringing production tickets to fastest resolution
    • Support L2 pager on weekdays, weekends and holidays on the rotation basis

 
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of application production support experience
  • 5+ years of Unix and Tomcat experience
  • 5+ years of experience in reading Java code, design document to research and resolve issues.
  • Experience in using AntHillPro, udeploy for building and deploying applications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
