PURPOSE:
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining various testing equipment.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) years of scientific/ technical education. BS degree in scientific field strongly preferred.
  • Hands on experience HPLC, GC, titrations and other wet chemistry techniques. (Academic experience is considered).
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform testing of incoming materials and finished products.
  • Maintain Quality Compliance with our clients' quality practices and operating procedures.
  • Support procedures and practices that result in quality product being received, produced and used by our customers 
  • Maintains a safe working environment and follows all safety procedures. 
  • Evaluate testing results against established criteria. 
  • Provides accurate, timely communication of analytical test results. 
  • Investigates and implements corrective action for out of specification results. 
  • Responds to ‘out of specification’ (OOS) situations and initiates action to minimize business risk. 
  • Maintains database of testing, analysis and results. 
  • Participates in team activities as assigned to improve a product or process or in response to customer complaints. 
  • Communicates potential quality issues identified during testing. 
  • Maintains good housekeeping in work areas. 
  • Facilitates and/or implements standards, specifications, test methods, procedures and analyses as needed. 
  • Preparing written documentation of suspect quality and/or rejected materials 
  • Participation on cross-functional New Product, Process or Problem Solving Teams 
  • Collecting data for Quality Control Scorecard Measures 
  • Performing and/or providing support for Method Validation and Process Validation 
  • Collaboration with suppliers to resolve out of specification results on materials
