Apex Systems is interested in a Laboratory Support Technician in the San Diego, CA area!
 
This role will pay weekly and provide benefits after two weeks of employment!
 
Summary
  • Laboratory Support personnel are responsible for receiving and opening sample packages from walk-in clients, FedEx, other mailing services and retrieving samples from drop box.
  • Must ensure that all samples are logged in in a timely, efficient and accurate manner and perform the quality control of projects that are sent to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Must effectively interact with clients and answer phone calls coming into the laboratory and forward them to the appropriate personnel as necessary.
  • The personnel must maintain an open line of communication with Project Managers, Analysts and other management staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive and open packages
  • Login of all samples in a timely manner
  • Label all samples
  • QC of samples/projects prior to sending into the laboratory
  • Interact with clients and answer incoming phone calls
  • Report status information to clients
  • Contact clients for clarification of analysis requested
  • Forward specific project related information to the appropriate PM
  • Responsible for maintaining the necessary supplies for sample receiving
  • Other related duties

 
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
  • HS diploma or G.E.D.

Required Skills
  • Good Typewriting skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Must have the ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail Experience.
