The Lead Data Governance Specialist will be responsible for creation and maintenance of corporate data dictionary, ensuring data quality standards are met and working with business partners to enforce data governance policies and procedures. The incumbent will assist with implementation and oversight of company’s data governance goals, standards, practices, processes and technologies.  This includes the responsibility for governing the processes associated with Metadata Management, Data Quality, and Data Exchange. The incumbent will focus on ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data roles and processes to achieve the required level of consistency in data definitions, sharing, quality, extraction and usage.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field is required or equivalent experience.
  • A Minimum of 4 years of experience working with data management, data analytics or data governance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a major services organization, with large-scale data or project management experience.
  • Experience using Data Governance tools such as IBM Infosphere Data Governance catalog is desired. 
  • Experience in facilitating cross-functional collaboration is desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices and data quality and how they affect business decisions required.
  • Knowledge of data governance, management and technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of health care and health insurance industries business and data is preferred.
