Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition of employment


Responsible for the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of data communications networks.



 1. Possesses technical expertise on network enterprise solutions using LAN, MAN, and WAN technologies.


2. Configure switching and routing systems to customer environments.


3. Have the ability to install Ethernet equipment to include physical installation of switches, running of fiber and copper jumpers, and labeling.


4. Respond to customer requests for support in resolving BAN networking issues including troubleshooting, configuration and optimization.


5. Provide over-the-shoulder training as needed.


6. Perform network administration duties.


7. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.


8. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated, responsible, technically apt, and business professionals. Candidates must have demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive team relationships with a variety of internal and external customers, peers, and management. Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to work independently, make appropriate timely decisions, and implement redirects without undue stress. Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to timely, appropriately, and effectively deal with customer issues and conflict.


9. Candidate must have the ability to supervise and direct a junior network engineer.


10. Candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software tools (Word, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio)


11. Able to document all red-line changes to project documentation on a daily basis.


11.  Candidate must be able to configure JDSU test equipment, run pre-acceptance test, and document results.


Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering. 10 years applicable experience can be substituted for BS degree


3+ years of directly related experience in network configuration and troubleshooting.



CCNP /CCNA or equivalent (JNCIA preferred)
