Position Description:
Our client is a Large Tech Company specializing in the Energy/Utilities industry and they are located in Waltham, MA.  Our client is looking for a Risk Manager to fill a 1+ year contract position.
Manage the development, implementation and operational run of controls for in-scope services and infrastructure. Work with management to define and implement remediation/mitigation for internally and externally identified audit and compliance deficiencies, and track remediation progress.
The principal accountabilities of the role are:

• Support the roll out of a strategic global Level 1 risk control maturity model

• Drive an automated continuous control culture across the IT organization

• Partner to develop new and enhance existing tools to demonstrate controls oversight within the 1st Line of Defense

• Accountable for the timely response of all audit findings related to IT infrastructure, platforms, and IT Tools.

• Direct the implementation and adoption of KPIs / KRIs for IT processes controls and indicators

• Ensure Technology policies comply with National Grid standards and ensure policy amendments/changes are carried out in accordance with the relevant governance bodies

• Provide central view of control operational effectiveness and control attestations for the function and appropriate policy owners

• Develop the relationship between IT and both external & internal auditors to oversee and monitor progress of mandated remedial actions from risk, events, control vulnerabilities and audit actions

• Review audit findings and provide challenge to appropriateness of ratings and action owner assignment

• Regional oversight of the US team activities.
Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business administration

• 10+ years related experience in IT

• Experience and/or knowledge of designing and implementing ITGC controls, and IT application controls as part of wider internal control frameworks

• Ability to understand and critically assess and map business processes and controls

• Knowledge and experience of other internal and external compliance frameworks

• Experience of writing or using Process Flow Commentaries, Risk and Control Matrices (RACM) and test scripts.

• Proficient use and knowledge of business systems and analytical tools (Visio, Excel, Word,
• PowerPoint)

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Proactive self-starter with ability to manage own workload, to time and desired levels of quality
Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role):

• Certified Information Systems Auditor or Manager (CISA or CISM) certification desirable
