Apex Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Assistant in Fremont, CA!

The client is one of the global leaders in the field of bio/pharmaceutical product testing and environmental laboratory services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and perform labeling functions needed for manufacturing.
  • Manage Kit packaging and perform on demand assembly for finish goods.
  • Maintain 5S in all areas.
  • Perform operation data entry to support ERP daily updates.
  • Manage and perform timely tasks to support shipping out of stock needs. To include product conversion, expiration extensions.
  • Perform general housekeeping task to maintain the laboratory standard.
  • Cleaning and preparations of all manufacturing containers, glass ware. 
  • Assist the Operation Associates in reagent dispensing functions.
  • Support the Operation Associates in reagent manufacturing functions.
  • Assist in inventory management tasks.
  • Assist in procurement and receiving functions.
  • Record and report manufacturing functions promptly and accurately on approved Batch records and laboratory note books.
  • Abide by all applicable SOP related to the task performed.
  • Perform Inventory cycle counts and end of the year inventory.
  • Maintain stock quantities of inventory product.
  • Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering operation tasks in a timely manner.
  • Files and maintains pertinent documents to Reagent Operation department.
  • Conducts calibration equipment checks.
  • Adheres to department Quality Management Program requirements.
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required.
  • Adheres to site employee health and safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Uses an array of business software applications (e.g., Word Processing, PowerPoint and Excel Spreadsheet, SharePoint and company systems).
  • Assists in records management, populating database with collected data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • AA/AS in Science field preferred

  • Willing to learn new skills and be able to work in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work with little Supervision.
