Position Overview:

 

Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:

This is an entry level role, and is open to recent graduates or upcoming Spring 2018 graduates. Responsibilities for this role include:

 

-Track, monitor and compile news coverage and coverage reports

-Monitor PR news inbox and direct media inquiries to PR team members for fulfillment

-Research media and create coverage reports

-Research and compile media lists

-Write media pitches

-Coordinate media stories:

  • Interact with local market media contacts to coordinate story logistics
  • Prepare Best Buy retail spokespeople
  • Monitor and recommend day-to-day opportunities for PR team social channels

-Write internal communications for Best Buy employees

-Assisting with media campaigns

-Will also have opportunities for media outreach

 

 

Skills Overview:

-MUST HAVE an understanding of PR through education with a preferred degree in communications, public relations, or journalism

-PR experience through internship highly preferred but not required

-Excellent writing skills with a strong attention to detail

-Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

-Preferred Cision database experience or knowledge, but not required as we can train them on this service
