Apex Systems is looking for a Migration Engineer for a Large Financial Client in Jacksonville, FL.   The contractor will assist in the migration of about 40TB's of data. The will require a Migration Engineer to compare existing Bank software and recommend which is optimal for our initiative. Then, build and configure the solution to perform the migrations. Finally, manage the technical support of the platform in coordination with the vendor selected.

Investigate potential complex problem situations to diagnose underlying root cause and assist to recover or continue normal operations.

The role demands high technical expertise with various migration tools sets, implementation, customization & troubleshooting skills.
* 5+ years Open Text Content Server/Livelink version 10.0/16 experience
* 2+ years Microsoft SharePoint version 2013 experience
* Working knowledge of industry standard migration tools (AvePoint, VerQu, etc.)
* Experienced performing large scale migrations from Content Server to SharePoint
* Familiar with Electronic Content Management / Document management structures
* Strong communication skills, experience interacting and communicating with customers of various skill levels
* Experienced with Microsoft office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and prioritize job responsibilities
* Ability to work independently as well as function as a team player

Desired Skills:

5+ years enterprise Server and Storage infrastructure
Understanding of DNS, networking, and data center technologies
Can work independently
