This is a MQ Administrator position. The successful candidate will be working with a global team to provide IBM MQ Server Operations/Engineering support that includes Installation, maintenance and administration on Linux, Windows, AIX and Solaris servers 24x7.
Skills Required: 3+ Years of Administration experience with IBM MQ 3+ Years of experience with Unix/Linux and Windows Knowledge of the IT Operating Model / IT Service Management Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with Unix/Linux Expertise and understanding in SharePoint Experience with IT Project Manager Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, MS Project) Experience to Project Manage Large Scale IT Development and/or Infrastructure Deployments Motivated and self-starter Ability to communicate effectively with business users and IT professionals including globally distributed teams; the ability to adjust communications appropriately for the audience; work with all levels of management and diverse work groups Knowledge of ITIL processes Knowledge of Windows server and Windows Active Directory Experience with VM servers Knowledge of Docker Containers/Kubernettes preferred. Experience in the installation and configuration of MQ or similar middleware products on Linux, AIX, Solaris, Windows Server and AS/400. Experience in automating the install/config of MQ or similar middleware products, using Linux, AIX, Solaris and Windows Server scripts. Experience in the development of applications that use MQ, using the standard MQ APIs (Connect, Open, Put, Get). Experience using Tivoli-Omegamon or similar enterprise monitoring tools, preferably to monitor and configure MQ. Nice to have knowledge/experience of MQ on Containers. A do-whatever-it-takes attitude and work ethic. A strong desire to continually deepen MQ expertise. A strong desire to learn all tangential technologies and processes involved with supporting MQ at Ford. A strong team player and a desire to mentor and train less experienced team members. EHPAS administration. MQ On-call support will be needed approx. once a month
