Infrastructure Engineer
Apex Systems, the nation's 2nd largest IT Staffing organization, has an immediate and high profile opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer.
The Infrastructure Engineer is expected to:
  • Support all system servers and other system components including installation, configuration, maintenance, security and troubleshooting
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade server applications, administrative tools and utilities
  • SLA driven Vulnerability remediation with Tenable Nessus
  • Administer and support Active Directory 2012 environment, multiple Windows-based servers, clustering servers, including Exchange 2010 and support a migration to Office 365
  • Create, change and delete user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Cisco phone system
  • Perform daily backup operations using Rubrik
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues
  • Use of a wide range of software applications and tools to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Assist other team members with project tasks as assigned
  • Serve as backup for the network engineer on an as needed basis to patch Cisco switches and other networking devices
  • Performs other duties as assigned with the ability to sometimes work evenings and weekends
