Job Description
Network Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of network infrastructure and application components. Network Engineer performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the global network performance meets company and user satisfaction. This position also provides direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations, network security designs and installations.  This position requires leading global projects and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Global Network Infrastructure design, configuration and implementation
  • Global network monitoring, availability and trending  
  • Provider level routers and Switches
  • Interaction with telco and vendor providers
  • Recommend infrastructure designs based on project requirements
  • Review any applicable new technologies that may improve the firms technology footprint
  • Document all processes including emergency failover instances, dynamic failover designs and all around Disaster Recovery requirements.
  • Next Generation Firewalls, Firewall Appliances, VPN devices, Vulnerability Scanners and Sniffers
  • IPSec Tunnels, Security Monitoring devices, Security Management devices
  • Wireless devices and Controllers
  • Palo Alto firewall appliances
  • Enterprise level security infrastructure, design, and architecture
  • Cisco IOS-XE and IOS-XR operating systems
  • Cisco MPLS, VRF and VRF-Lite technologies
  • Large L3/L2 network design and development - STP/RSTP, VTP, IOS and hardware
  •  Enterprise Network Routing Architectures, Security Protocols and Technologies – IPSec, VPN, TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP, ATM, Ethernet and Frame Relay
  • Wireless technologies
  • Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Cisco ASA firewalls
  • Forescout NAC Implementation
  • RSA Security appliance
  • Riverbed WAN optimization appliances
  • Wintel environment security implementation and administration
  • Remote connectivity deployment and support- VPN, VDI
  • IT refresh, Data center / office relocation, build-out, and Co-Lo implementation

  • Large L3/L2 network design and development - STP/RSTP, VTP, IOS and hardware

  • AWS Certification as an Associate or Professional Solutions Architect is highly desired.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of AWS Services (EC2, Network, ELB, S3/EBS, etc.)
  • Experience in design, planning and migration to AWS is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of all AWS technologies and Services is preferred.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
