NOC Analyst

 

Location: Shiremanstown, PA (NOC)

Schedule: 3rd shift 11pm to 7am (some weekend days required)

 

Duties:

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to be the main resource for handling network trouble tickets. Responsible for troubleshooting and efficiently resolving problems for stores, distribution centers, corporate and remote offices.  The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. 

 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
 
• Perform collaborative tier 2 network technical support including ticket entry, notify Shift Supervisor, service restoral and perform troubleshooting to isolate issues related to the network infrastructure, system and applications. Perform RMA (Returned Materials Authorization) process to replace failed (aged or problem) hardware. 


• Monitor fault and performance of network infrastructure and networked applications. 


• Assist in documentation of procedures and processes. Perform preventative maintenance including patches, changes, and planned upgrades. 


• Apply standard configuration templates to network devices. Complete work requests and circuit and asset tracking of network hardware and software.


• Collect and review capacity and performance reports for various network management systems to report trends.  Reports are a combination of both technical and management oriented sections to be reviewed and used in periodic meetings with the CIO and the company senior management team.


• Provide support to NOC technicians and conduct off hours support as needed. Includes shift rotation, backfill coverage, evenings and holidays.


• Assist network disaster recovery testing and documentation creation.

 

• Two (2) years' of experience in  troubleshooting LANs/WANs, TCP, UDP, IP, Ethernet, routers, switches, and network security required

 

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations
• Other, Valid drivers license required
• Other, Cisco CCT or equivalent experience  required

 

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Computer Science preferred.
