We haves have an exciting direct-hire opportunity for a Patient Navigator with previous oncology nursing experience. The Patient Navigator (PN) will serve as liaison between myeloma patients, families, and caregivers.

 

WHY IS THIS ROLE EXCITING? You will be responsible for guiding myeloma patients for guiding myeloma patients through their disease journey every step of the way. This includes providing suggestions, and information related to their disease.

 

WHO IS THIS ROLE FOR? This role is perfect for RNs who want to utilize their oncology experience to help more patients nationwide from an office setting!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Answer the Patient Support Center incoming calls during business hours
  • Courteously and professionally interact with callers
  • Enter caller information accurately into the Salesforce database
  • Provide requested information and answer caller questions
  • Ability to integrate Salesforce functions such as Service Cloud, Knowledge Base, and Communities into Patient Support Center operations
  • Stay abreast of new developments in myeloma regarding available resources
  • Attend training provided by pharmaceutical company and other partners to update information on drug approvals and other pertinent information
  • For referred patients: concierge service to help patients find clinical trials that they may be interested in and eligible for
  • Provide emailed and printed (shipped) materials to patients upon request 
     

Requirements:

  • RN with 5-10 years of oncology experience; knowledge of myeloma and hematological cancers a plus 
    OR, RN/LPN with 0-2 years relevant experience
  • Strong internet research skills required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with Salesforce database a plus
  • Ability to establish and maintain patient relationships
  • Superb oral communication skills including empathy, patience, active listening
