Oracle Database Developer
Location: Chantilly, VA
Rate: $60-65/ hr.
Clearance Requirement: Obtain & Maintain DoD Secret

Apex Systems is seeking an Oracle Database Developer for a large Federal program in Chantilly, VA. This PL/SQL Developer will work along a team of 3 Oracle Database Developers and will function as the core developer for the programs enterprise data.

This program is responsible for developing systems and generating HR data through an entire Federal agency.

Day to Day Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Involved in all phases of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) from Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance with timely delivery.
  • Develop Oracle Application using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Involved in Data Transformations, Data Loading, Database Modeling and Performance Tuning.
  • Writing UNIX shell scripts in order to automate and schedule tasks.
  • Writing stored Procedures, PL/SQL Packages, Triggers, functions, ref Cursors, Collections and Bulk Collect, using various oracle utilities to implement the business logic.
  • Experience in dealing with RDBMS, including Normalization, Stored Procedures, Constraints, Joins, Keys, Indexes, Data Import/Export, Triggers and Cursors.
  • Experience with database tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), TOAD, PL SQL Developer and SQL Plus.
  • Experience in Creating and Maintaining Database objects like Tables, Indexes, Views, Synonyms, Object types and Collections.
  • Experience with Web Front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript etc.).
  • Experienced in JavaScript, JQuery, and JavaScript Frameworks is a plus
  • Experience in .NET framework is a Plus
  • Current Secret security clearance
