The System Admin/Patch Admin candidates must have experience working with SCCM, Windows 10, and familiar with one or more Windows native scripting languages (PowerShell, DOS/Batch, VBScript , AutoIT or others.

Client Job Description:


This analyst will review, test, deploy security and application patches in the environment, and provide Tier 2 IT support for all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems. 

Essential Functions:

  • Review, test, document, implement, and track software and operating system updates and security patches though out the enterprise (5000 PCs).
  • Provide technical support to diagnose, analyze, research and resolve computer problems for internal and external customers in a mid- to large Windows Enterprise environment.
  • Must be able to analyze data from multiple collection points to identify computers and systems that are out of compliance.
  • Must have intermediate to excellent Excel, Access, and/or Power Bi knowledge for data analysis.
  • Must be familiar with one or more Windows native scripting languages (PowerShell, DOS/Batch, VBScript , AutoIT or others).
  • Act as subject matter expert to peers, management, and vendors on one or more areas of responsibility
  • Excellent communication skills required to document findings and results, generate reports, attend meetings and represent the team.
  • Ability to analyze and present concepts, plans, causes and effects of issues and interact with  management up to C-level.
  • Level headed individual that can overcome the challenges of working to maintain a secure environment.
  • Project planning and management skills are required to design, implement and manage multiple concurrent projects involving peers and other teams.

Secondary Functions:

  • Image desktops, laptops, terminals, install software, encryption and configure user profiles.
  • Hardware replacement, rebuild and evaluate/document the condition of returned equipment for possible reuse or disposal.
  • Trouble shooting network issues within the environment using networking fundamentals, concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate complex information to a variety of technical and non-technical customers and to engineering team.
  • Work with Client Technology Team and Management to develop and document accurate operating procedures.
  • Work on one or more projects concurrently as project team member or project lead.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Grade Competencies & Behaviors

  • 5+ yrs. Experience or demonstrated hands on desktop and application support job knowledge.
  • Able to perform as Project Lead and ensure completion of task assignments.
  • Show strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.

Position Qualifications

Education/Learning Experience

  • Required:  Associates degree or equivalent work experience in technology field
  • Desired:  Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field

Work Experience

  • Required:  Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical support role within an information technology department
  • Desired:  Patch management, IT customer care background, hands-on end user support experience


  • Required:  Extensive knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware; familiarity with networking fundamentals, concepts, practices and procedures; working knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating system; intermediate/expert knowledge of Excel, Access, Power Bi or other data Management tools; troubleshooting, diagnostic and analytical skills
  • Desired:  Technical document creation experience, data compilation and analysis experience


  • Required:  Driver’s license; A+ Certification and/or Security+
  • Desired:  MCDST, MCSE certification, CCNA Certification
