Position: PeopleSoft Database Administrator 

Duration: Contract

Location: Washington DC  

The client uses Oracle Access Management and Oracle Unified Directory single sign-on functionality for PeopleSoft with Active Directory. PeopleSoft is also integrated with several Oracle Web Center applications including Imaging, Content,

Document Capture (ODC), Forms Recognition (OFR), the Oracle SOA Suite, and the

Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Public Sector Budget and

Planning application.

 

In addition to normal production support activities such as adding new reports and enhancements, PeopleSoft Financials application patches may be applied to the application during the timeframe of this task order. Several other projects may also be

underway: Implementing Contract Management, upgrading to Oracle 12c R2, evaluating and preparing for People Tools 8.56 and Elastic search, evaluating the migration from

Solaris to Linux, evaluating PeopleSoft upgrade to image 26, other Identity Management functionality, and upgrading Oracle Access Management.

 

The client is seeking a resource (either the PeopleSoft Technical Specialist/Developer or

Server/Database Administrator labor category) to support the client's ERP PeopleSoft

Financials application. The resource will act as a system administrator and will assist with production support, administer, configure, monitor, document, analyze, and troubleshoot the PeopleSoft architecture including software, servers, databases, and related third-party tools. In addition, the resource will assist with projects related to

PeopleSoft, including integration activities with other applications. The resource will assist the PeopleSoft support staff, working directly with the other database and system administrators, developers, and the functional teams.

 

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

 

4.1 Support the client's ERP PeopleSoft Financials production and test/dev environments, as well as the continued design, development, enhancement, build, migration, patch, and test activities. Prepare for, build new instances, and perform refreshes and upgrades.

 

4.2 Administer, configure, monitor, document, analyze, and troubleshoot the PeopleSoft architecture including software, servers, databases, and related third-party tools. Assist with evaluating additional functionality and tools and using current functionality and tools in other ways to increase the benefits of the application for the client;

 

4.3 Support the team's ongoing activities such as the required database upgrade to 12c R2, preparation for the People Tools 8.56 upgrade, implementation of Elastic Search, evaluation of PeopleSoft image 26 upgrade, evaluation of PeopleSoft server migration from Solaris, Support OAM upgrades.

 

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

6.1 Knowledge and experience supporting the following as a system administrator: Oracle 12c, PeopleSoft Financials 9.2, and tools 8.56.

6.2 Knowledge and experience patching and upgrading PeopleSoft Financials and

People Tools.

Note: Knowledge and experience with the following is a plus, but not required:

6.3 PeopleSoft Financials modules: General Ledger, Commitment Control, Purchasing,

Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Billing, and Asset Management, Contract

Management

6.4 Oracle Enterprise Manager

6.5 Using Stat, version control and change management software, to migrate change between PeopleSoft instances

6.7 Integrating PeopleSoft with Oracle Access Management, Oracle Unified Directory, and Oracle Web Center applications including Imaging, and Content, Document Capture (ODC), Forms Recognition (OFR), and the Oracle SOA Suite.

6.8 Integrating PeopleSoft with Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management.

6.9 Oracle Database 12c
