Apex is looking for a PMO Consultant for a 12+ month long project.

PMO consultant who support the PMO and Demand team to oversee a multitude of projects and portfolios to improve project execution, quality, and fiscal oversight. The PMO consultant will support the daily operations of the PMO which includes the project gating process, working with the PMs to assure that planned deliverables are completed on time, updating documentation and templates, and consolidating analysis data for the PMO. This position will also help to conduct data analysis and to compile metrics and financial reports. The candidate should also a have keen attention to details, affinity for data analysis, and possess a “can do” attitude and be able to work with team members on- and off-site. 

• Work closely with the Project Management Practice Development Lead to drive continuous improvement and updates to our Project management framework, e.g. updates and documentation of new processes, process changes, or templates, conduct and document Project Gate review
• Assist the Senior IT Demand Analyst to compile project data e.g. projects budgets, actuals and forecast numbers and distribution to the project teams
• Support the PMO team in their daily routines, e.g. Meeting coordination, follow-up on tasks and meeting outcomes and Project Sharepoint updates/changes
• Promote the adherence to the Project Management framework for all projects and proactive communication of risk and issues

Job Requirements

• Analyze, map and integrate data from multiple sources to form opinions and recommendations
• Highly effective and concise written and oral communication
• Candidate must possess an eye for details and passion for data analytics
• Ability to work independently and manage work with tight deadlines reliably and efficiently
• Effective team player with great communication skills to be able to work effectively with on- and off-site team
• Drive to deliver outstanding results in identifying data errors 
• Pro-active mind-set with best results for customer in mind

Required Work Experience:
• +2 years Project Management and/or experience working in a PMO organization/Project Governance
• +2 years Advanced SharePoint experience in at least one of the following
o SharePoint 2013 O365 version (e.g. Designer skills; add custom lists, modify document libraries, site collection admin skills)
o SharePoint Designer 2013 (workflows) – Designer skills, create and modify workflows and custom actions for SharePoint
o InfoPath Designer 2013 (custom forms) – Designer skills, create and modify forms, create and modify rules, including data connections
• 1-2 years’ experience with MS Excel and MS Access Data to produce and analyze data for metrics and reports 
• +1 year MS Project 2010 (Enterprise version is a plus)
• Previous work experience in the Insurance industry is a plus
