Position Description: This is a Products Solution key Product Designer position for Connected Vehicle product line. Ideal candidate will have prior experience in business analysis, programming, application design and Agile. The Product Designer position will primarily involve working with the Product Manager, other Product Designers and Full Stack Engineers to: - Lead products from discovery and framework through iterative development and delivery - Develop documentation identified on the Agile backlog (use cases, user stories, system design specifications) for upcoming Embedded Modem features and associated IT backend system functionality - Work as a collaborative team member with business partners, developers, and fellow designers - Help product managers assess and prioritize opportunities and constraints - Develop and update use cases and user stories in Agile iterations - Develop product user flows and business integration models - Assess and prioritize opportunities and constraints - Explore and document solution alternatives - Identify and describe business scenarios - Work collaboratively to coordinate and resolve issues - Conduct user testing, interviews, and analysis Skills Required: - Experience leading projects during all project phases (discovery, requirements, delivery, launch, production support) -Communicates effectively with the business partner and IT teams to support day-to-day project activities. - Creates IT solutions/services to solve business and infrastructure needs using appropriate design methodologies in close cooperation with project managers, business analysts and business customers. - Works with architects to define interoperability with interfacing systems/infrastructure and applications. - Ensures solutions/services adhere to IT principles such as optimizing the system design for performance, supportability, usability requirements, security, and auditability. - Ensures the implementation of the functional/non-functional requirements to produce the final solution/service. - Works with external vendor experts to implement solutions. - Experience creating system development project artifacts: project charters, small project change forms, business integration models, gathering functional business requirement documents, use cases, user stories, non-functional requirements, Application Control Reviews (ACRs), Disaster Recovery Plans, etc. - Manage change control processes. Assess impact of change and estimate costs across all affected teams. - Develop product/application design specifications (sequence diagrams, class diagrams, Application Design Documents, etc) - Experience with Agile (i.e. Scrum or Kanban) - Experience facilitating large meetings (in person and WebEx) Skills Preferred: N/A   Experience Preferred: - Experience working in global and virtual teams - Rally experience - Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to build relationships with multiple business and technical customers and adapt language to appropriate audience. - Programming experience with Java, C sharp, .NET, SQL, or Microsoft .NET, etc. Education Required: Bachelor in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent
