Description 

Responsible for identifying and documenting business processes through interviewing clients and reviewing and analyzing existing and/or new system/service needs and its processes. Articulates interrelationships and recasts business flow into system specifications. Conducts gap analyses to document discrepancies between business requirements and system capabilities. Develop project plans and ensure plan adherence. As system/service development progresses, may have input into reporting requirements/report development, user interfaces, and coordinates/plans UAT and the roadmap for final evaluation of the system solution. Responsible for project planning and execution and you’ll work with DevOps and Big Data Engineer, Research Scientist, IT groups (network, security), billing administration as well as business owners (customer/scientists). The right candidate will have a background in Cloud, IaaS, SaaS in scientific area: genomics, cancer, imaging studies, IoT with machine learning, deep learning, AI and data workflow and integration management approach. Candidate should be fast learner for scientific and technical terms who possess strong intellectual horsepower, resourcefulness, strong organization skills, thoroughness of tasks/action item followups and taking initiatives to learn new things and not afraid to ask questions that helps moving project forward. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to Research Computing Director and Program Manager to ensure projects under the team portfolio are well organized and executed.
  • Work with IT teams and projects in a complex, matrixed organization and well versed in building strong and influential relationships and management skills with stakeholders and colleagues
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work in a group environment, establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with all levels of staff and other department personnel
  • Experience in problem solving and negotiating with colleagues, clients and senior leadership to produce positive outcomes.

  • Plans and manages initiatives, proposals, or projects, including identifying project resource needs and roles.
  • Accomplishes all work within established methodologies and standards.
  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Collaborates with functional/team members to partner with the line business to define, design, and deliver on strategic solutions to meet critical business needs.
  • Researches, analyzes, proposes and implements best practice processes and solutions for project management based on needs
  • Identify and provide remediation plan for technical and functional issues according to defined prioritization/severity scheme.
