Role Overview:
Works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude major data and analytics projects. Duties include coordinating schedules and activities, establishing project goals and KPIs, tracking project progress and results, and performance of additional assignments and responsibilities as assumed or requested by Director Program Management and Vice President, Data and Analytics. Serves as an organizing conduit between the data engineering team, data architecture team, data analysts and business analysts in the data team, and key external stakeholders across the company. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and an understanding of digital data processes and standards.
  • Create project plan estimates, dates, resources, and milestones with information from PM and other project team members
  • Ensure requirements and project deliverables are clearly communicated and executed upon
  • Monitor project risks and scope creep to anticipate potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address in advance
  • Perform weekly update of the key project artifacts (project schedule/timeline, status report)
  • Assist in maintenance of change management log, issues list, and risk list
  • Assist in regular evaluation of workflow and data flow processes and in making improvements
  • Coordinate the gathering of pertinent project documentation, including pre-implementation and post-implementation audit documents and application support transition
  • Coordinate the fulfillment of pre-implementation and post-implementation recommendations from internal and external audit teams to ensure project compliance
  • Review project time sheets (internal and contractor) to identify and remedy discrepancies
  • Review project expenses against project budget to identify and remedy any non-approved charges
  • Facilitate Root Cause and Problem Statement sessions
  • Monitor JIRA Task Board to ensure that team members are updating tasks for each Sprint
  • Act as Scrum Master for projects as needed
  • Capture, communicate and follow up on meeting Action Items / review overdue actions or issues and contact team members to update
  • Respond to general inquiries and requests for information related to PMO and projects

Required Skill Sets / Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in a related area or 2-3 years of Project Management experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with Digital Data, either as an analyst, engineer, product manager or project manager.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud and Amazon S3 Cloud platforms and data visualization solutions, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with the following software tools:  Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Visio), Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge of PMO processes and practices
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment
