I/T Project Manager Lead

Duration: 18 month contract

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES

•  Performs project management duties in support of IT Infrastructure & Operations, specifically around mainframe and data center activities.

•  Applies advanced functional knowledge of IT Infrastructure & Operations, to develop milestones and work breakdowns.

•  Manages cross-domain relationships to communicate, gain commitments and deliver desired infrastructure outcomes.

•  Identifies opportunities and facilitates significant improvements to processes and systems.

•  Performs complex tasks under minimal supervision and has discretion to deviate from established procedures and guidelines.

•  Serves as a coach and on-the-job trainer for other team members.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

•  Bachelor Degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

•  6 or more years of related experience and accountability for complex tasks and/or projects required.

•  Advanced knowledge of the Infrastructure and Operations and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products required.

•  Advanced level of business acumen in the areas of the business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

 

•  Specific experience in mainframe migrations and data center moves.

•  Deep knowledge and/or experience in Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) organizations.

•  Experience with infrastructure technologies VM, VDI, SDDC, Active-Active Data Center, and/or collaboration technologies.

•  Experience leading teams or projects that implemented large and complex IT infrastructure utilizing VDI, Skype for Business, Office 365, Windows 10, and/or 64bit client.

•  Proven skills in forming technical specifications/expectations, gaining commitments and holding technical teams accountable for delivery on commitments.

•  Strong experience communicating to executive sponsors and stakeholders (technical and business) while anticipating concerns and managing expectations with these customers.

•  A proven ability to inspire and influence technical teams implementing complex infrastructure and holding team members accountable for outcome  commitments.

•  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, agile support, and agile delivery methodologies.

•  Preferred experience with ServiceNow PPM, RTC, MS Project and MS Excel.

•  Proven ability to work well in ambiguous environment.
