Role Description:

The Client entered into an MOU to complete an electronic Automated Voter Registration Project (AVR) with the goal of further enhancing compliance with federal voter registration law. Client’s current process relies on paper to complete license/identification card (credential) transactions, including voter registration applications. Currently, customers complete and sign paper forms, the data from which is then entered into Client's credentialing system by an Examiner.  This project will create a seamless credential and voter registration transaction and enhance the accuracy of data by using a customer-facing device (CFD).  The new electronic process will allow customers to confirm their credential information on a CFD and will process voter registration applications based on brief questions that the customer will respond to on the CFD, followed by a customer satisfaction survey.  It will also include the ability for Client's system to access SOTS voter registration data, which will enable client to ask customer-specific voter registration questions.  For example, if a customer is a registered voter, their current voter registration record would display on the screen and the customer would be able to confirm that the information shown is correct, or update their record accordingly.  Otherwise, customers may complete applications to register to vote as new voters or decline.
