Role and Responsibilities

(Primary Duties):

  • Position reports directly to Task Order Manager
  • Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with all levels of Contract, Civilian, and Military management
  • Liaison for the Task Order Manager, with ability to make decisions for contract, and personal issues
  • Experience in prompt completion and submission of contract deliverables
  • Experience administering, directing, and managing multiple management actions, IT tasks, and substantial IT projects concurrently
  • Experience leading a multi-tier support environment and working through and with subordinate managers/leads to ensure cross-program operational success
  • Experience overseeing application development including waterfall or agile methodologies
  • Experience is CMMI implementation or maintenance
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience in managing multi-task projects involving in excess of 5 personnel
  • Create project and task plans for infrastructure and development projects and changes.
  • Experience increasing knowledge base as necessary to support new and changing requirements
  • Respond to telephone, electronic mail, and/or walk-in requests for support for all systems and equipment within the IT environment.
  • On-Call 24/7/365

(Secondary Duties):

  • Maintain maintenance records and perform follow-ups as required for routine preventive and on-demand maintenance on servers, workstations and related equipment.
  • Monitor all enterprise wide servers, network, and service availability.
  • Provide corrective maintenance/troubleshooting for hardware and software malfunctions.
  • Update and execute COOP and disaster recovery process, procedures and policies.
  • Provide SME level troubleshooting on all technical matters
  • Root cause research and identification
  • Establish effective operational procedures and work instructions.
  • Provide installation, testing and maintenance of Operating System and applications Software.
  • Modify and Execute Processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), troubleshooting guides and tools.
  • Analyze security weaknesses and vulnerabilities of GOTS/COTS software recommending solutions as needed.
  • Complete trouble and change tickets using applicable software, policy, and procedures in designated ticket tracking system (ITSM Remedy).
  • Manage, Configure, Maintain, and Install server, workstation, and related equipment hardware, software, and operating systems in a physical and virtual environment.
  • Experience in supporting VMware vCenter, storage appliances, Splunk, SRM, application support, and troubleshooting issues related to the infrastructure or functionality
  • Manage, Configure, Maintain, Monitor, and Design
    • Virtual Platforms on VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Xen
    • Dell blade infrastructure management system
    • Windows Active Directory, integrated DNS servers and multi-master zones
    • System backups, updates, recoveries, and related devices
  • Provide design recommendations and support documentation on existing and new architecture, e.g. DISA milCloud.
  • Knowledge of various scripting languages with the ability to audit existing scripts
  • Experience with Redhat Linux and Windows operating systems, Oracle 12c, DOD STIG, ACAS, HBSS
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework, and DOD information assurance and IT security policies and compliance
  • Assist all lower support tiers with any escalated customer requests or incidents.

Qualifications and Education Requirements


  • Candidates must be US citizens and able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance as a condition of employment
  • SSBI


  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
    • CompTia Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, or GSEC in good standing (IAT-II or higher)
    • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) in good standing
  • Preferred:
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent (IAM-III) in good standing
    • Current (within past 05 years) computing environment certification; Ex. Microsoft MCSA/MCSE
      • Required within 6 months of hire


  • Required:
    • 10 years of technical experience last 03 years in Leading Government, DoD preferred, IT related projects and programs
    • Leading IT related projects and programs in excess of 10 personnel (05 years)
