Project Wastewater Engineer (Design)
Apex Systems seeks a Wastewater Engineer with 5+ years’ experience to join our client, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm! A successful candidate should have a thorough understanding of biological nutrient removal technologies, hydraulics, sludge conditioning and disposal.
Job Responsibilities: 
  • Prepare construction documents for water resource recovery facilities, pump stations, gravity and low pressure sewer systems. Particular knowledge in sewer system modelling and design is a plus.
  • Hydraulic design and equipment selection.
  • Develop project reports and construction contract specifications.
  • Field work related to wastewater system engineering.
  • Project coordination with various support departments such as Structural, Civil and MEP.
  • Overall design of wastewater treatments including hydraulic profiles, solids mass balance and P&I diagrams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Project financial performance including responsible for on-time, on-budget and high quality technical product.
  • Client management.
  • Mentor and train junior level staff.

 Education and Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years of wastewater engineering experience in the consulting field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Revit and BIM. 
  • Experience with BioWin a plus.
  • Excellent client relations and technical writing skills.
  • FE/EIT required, PE highly desired
