•Mid Level Developer 

Job Description:
The Full-stack Developer will work within the Client development environment on a variety of coding projects, QA testing, and basic debugging/break fix of issues with currently maintained applications. The developer will be working as a part of a broader team of developers, taking direction on day-to-day tasks within the following project areas:
  • Build, modify, and/or refactor functional components of code within major applications
  • Organize, translate, and merge code from different scripting and programming sources
  • Debug and trace down defects within existing applications
  • Participate in all facets of development, Peer code review, QA and BETA testing
  • Must have exceptional professional and interpersonal agility
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge and experience in SDLC methodologies (e.g. waterfall and agile)
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters, subject matter experts, team leads, developers, and users
  • Ability to summarize progress and articulate issues to the team lead
  • Ability to quickly translate and navigate through new code from different development styles
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in conversational English when interacting with native English speakers
  • Proactive self-starter with willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies, as necessary
  • Knowledge of developing in Windows and Linux environments
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 2 years equivalent work experience

Team Description:
Microservices are small processing servers or daemons.  It is more of an architectural style in which large applications are composed from small, loosely coupled services with independent lifecycles.  This team mainly provides REST API’s to other automation servers, and a few that consume remote data at time intervals, i.e. CRONs.  The goal of the team is to improve availability, business agility, and scalability across the GO&S organization.
Software Stack:
Back-end: Python, Elastic Search, MySQL
Front-end: JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap
Frameworks: Flask, Django, Angular2+
  • Strong experience with web application development
  • Experience with Python or similar scripting language
  • Familiarity with a Back-End framework such as Django, Flask, Pyramid, etc.
  • Familiarity with a Front-End framework such as Angular2+, React, Vue.js, etc.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with a version control system, preference to GIT
  • Experience with Linux CLI and Bash scripting
  • General understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience using common debugging tools such as Firebug, Chrome development tools, etc.
  • Past experience or familiarity with object oriented design
  • Ability to create and utilize technical documentation to facilitate the development process
  • Experience in a development team environment
