Quality Assurance Lead

Apex Systems, the nation’s 2nd largest IT Workforce Solutions organization, has an immediate and exciting opportunity for a QA for one of the largest Financial Firms in Columbus, Ohio.  This opportunity is for a 3 Month Contract-to-hire.

Company & Group Details of the Quality Assurance Lead:

  • The QA will work with several teams and help coordinate and lead multiple initiatives and projects across the organization.
  • The individual will need to be a strong leader, able to multi-task, determine the appropriate level of testing for all lines of business, and have excellent written and oral skills.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction while being able to work within a team by assisting and guiding others.

Requirements for Quality Assurance Lead:

  • 8+ years of QA experience within both the Information Security, Infrastructure and Applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to all levels within the organization.
  • Lead testing efforts across all impacted applications and project timelines.
  • Responsible for managing multiple complex efforts across several platforms.
  • Construct and review all test plans, scenarios and scripts for detail and quality.
  • Able to be hands on as well as lead and assign tasks in the support of testing.
  • Bachelors or Advanced Degree is preferred.


Technologies for Quality Assurance Lead:

  • Extensive knowledge of common testing methods, tools and industry practices.
  • Able to plan, analyze, and test multiple large efforts across the enterprise.
  • Working knowledge of data structures, data management practices, and system interaction patterns.
  • Advanced knowledge of software packages/tools for processing and/or displaying data (Excel, SQL Queries).
  • Knowledge of security practices, SOX, PCI, or financial services background.
  • 5+ yeas experience with Quality Center.
  • Knowledge around REST API and automation tools such as Ruby Scripting with Cucumber, Selenium, is a plus.
