QA Tester

  • Design and drive QA testing strategies for enterprise applications, web applications, services, enhancements and bug fixes
  • Prepare and deliver ‘QA opinions’, recommendations, and alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in applications, systems and projects across the enterprise.
  • Liaise with necessary teams (Business Analysis, Development, Release Management, etc.)
  • Review, analyze and create documentation; lead test case walkthroughs, bug review meetings and other sessions as necessary.
  • Conduct internal audits to measure and ensure adherence to established QA standards for software development, application integration, and information systems
  • Create and execute test plans and scripts
  • Capable of driving UAT and yielding effective adoption
  • UAT/Usability/Field feedback capture
  • Drive process improvements for an outstanding customer experience in the name of 'Quality'
  • Ability to effectively peer review test artifacts and documentation and provide useful feedback
  • Maintain environments and databases
  • Perform manual and automated testing
  • Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays, as well as, extended workdays to support business needs.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: The Quality Assurance Analyst possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity, respect for all individuals (customers, vendors, and employees), solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation of diversity (thought, ethnic, gender, etc.).

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Related Technologies preferred.
  • Fluency with QA and SDLC methodology
  • Ability to write SQL queries and troubleshoot them
  • Knowledge of XML & WSDL concepts
  • Comfortable maintaining databases
  • Experience with MS-Visual Studio/TFS for test case development
  • Defect tracking in TFS and Bugzilla
  • Past configuration and use of Selenium, QTP, WAPT or other testing tools
  • Past experience and understanding of service testing (PostMan, SoapUI, etc.)
  • Ability to clearly communicate issues and statues
  • 6+ years of consistent QA experience in an IT environment
  • 2+ years of experience with automation testing and tool
  • Proactive nature and excellent communicator
