Incumbent will help to ensure quality on a site that manufactures vitamins, minerals, and supplements. Incumbent will promote and ensure compliance with NSF and FDA cGMP’s as they relate to production and packaging of product.  Assist in the strict adherence with all client standard operating procedures and standards.  Ensure that products produced is of the highest standard.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and check metal detectors, check weighers and scales
  • Oversee the adherence of all applicable regulations and procedures in the manufacturing process (SOP, GMP, FDA, etc.)
  • Assist with the implementation (training and reporting) of all FDA cGMP’s and SOP’s
  • Follow proper Food Documentation practices in packaging documentation
  • Ensure proper documentation, systems upkeep and paperwork flow
  • Swab Testing
  • Line clearance verification
  • In-process AQL checks during packaging
  • Label review and issuing to packaging lines
  • Bulk review prior to packaging
  • Sample collection for retention and testing
  • Perform packaging line GMP checks
  • Train team members as needed

 
Required Abilities:
  • Ideal candidates would have a manufacturing or manufacturing QA background (understands the importance of expiration dates, what an SOP is, has handled written paperwork and/or computer systems to document work, and general Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMPs) and a good attendance track record. 
  • Associates Degree in a science-related field is preferred but not required. 
  • Knowledge of high school algebra and chemistry is required. 
  • Prior QA experience is preferred.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office/E1)
  • Good understanding of a regulatory environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Self-motivated and reliable
  • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance

 
Working Conditions: 
Position is carried out in a factory setting where there is considerable exposure to dust and raw materials including, but not limited to, enzymes and animal-based glandular materials.
